A Master of Science (MSc.) holder in Natural Resource Management (Biogeography option), from University of Nairobi. John’s areas of specialization include:- Biodiversity Measurements, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environment and Development in Africa, Trans-boundary Shared resources, Human Wildlife Conflict Resolution, Watershed Management, Biodiversity Conservation and Management, Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems, Advanced Quantitative Statistics, Biogeography Theory and Practice and Research Methods.
He worked on a MSc. thesis entitled, “Some Environmental Effects of Small dams on Vegetation Dynamics: An Assessment of Maomokeani Reservoir in Kitui West, Kenya”.His Publications and Research Work include: A Scoping Study and Review of Environmental and Social Impacts of the Kenya Super Highway Road Construction; Thika- Nairobi Highway Improvement Project-A collaboration study between Columbia State University (New York) and Department of Geography and Environmental Studies, University of Nairobi, Thika Highway Improvement Project; the Social/Community Component of the Analysis of the Thika Highway Improvement Project, Renewable Energy among others.
John has vast experience on Matters Education as a career Mentor, Lecture, Board of Management Support Service to many Private and Public schools in Kenya and is a Minister of the Gospel.
He is the Board Member overseeing KISC Mombasa Road (Syokimau) and also the technical advisor Academics KISC Group.
