Culture Day

Students stage their own Culture Day at the school.
The students organized the mini exhibition to showcase their learning and research.
The event was aimed at showing that a celebration of our cultural backgrounds can shape who we are.
Students began their Unit of Inquiry by exploring the broader concepts of culture, beliefs and values. During Culture Day they set up stalls displaying food, clothing and a variety of items representing their cultures, to share with students, parents and staff.
“Through this process the students were able to identify what it is about their culture they felt most connected to. The Culture Day is a culmination of hours of thinking, creating and hard work and what the students produce is truly outstanding.
“The presentations are a wonderful opportunity for the students to share with the school community what they understand about culture and indeed, themselves.”
