KISC – BIC is a co-educational International school fully fledged, offering academic programmes based on the British International Curriculum for 2 to 18 year-olds. Established in 2013, it is located on lush grounds off Namanga Road in the quiet serene environment of Kitengela within Kajiado County, 36 KM from Nairobi

KISC – BIC aim is to allow all students to fulfil their academic potential, while at the same time developing social skills and graces to enable them to meet the challenges and to be leading lights in society. It prides itself on creating Confident Individuals, Responsible Citizens and Learners Enjoying Success.

School Sections

1. Junior school ( Early years, Key stage 1 to key stage 2)

2. Senior School (year 7 to 13) – key stage 3 to key stage 5

The junior school unit comprises of the Early Years section (age 2-6) and key stage 1 is situated within the same school compound in its own unique facility featuring a well equipped playground and sports fields Lawn tennis courts and a swimming pool, the main focus being character and academic building through play. And the key stage 2 years (year 3 to 6) the aim is to develop independent learners who feel that they belong in every facet of the school.

In the Secondary Years/ Senior school (year 7 – 13), the focus is on equipping learners with life skills that will enable them to be ready for adult life.


They include SATs (Standard Attainment Tests) which are taken at the end of Year 2 and Edexcel checkpoint taken at year 6, the Cambridge Checkpoint taken at the end of Year 9, IGCSE examinations at the end of Year 11, AS Levels at the end of Year 12 and A Levels are completed at the end of Year 13.

The courses offered are numerous and cater for the needs of its students in a international environment. They lead to International Qualifications including the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA), Checkpoint/achievement tests, International General Certificate of Education (IGCSE), International Certificate of Education (ICE), General Certificate of Education ( AS/A2).

Whilst the importance of academic achievement is recognised, a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities are offered. Individual timetables for activities are prepared for pupils to pursue their interests at lunch times, after school and at weekends. Regular school excursions are also an integral part of the school’s programme.

The school has an open door policy. Parents regularly pop in to discuss issues or simply to walk around to see what is going on. Communication between students, staff and parents is extensive and healthy.

With a staff balanced with youth and experience and committed parents and students, it achieves and will continue to achieve its aims at the school.

Recent International Achievements

Kitengela international school featured in high achievers international awards of 2015 and outstanding Pearson learner awards of 2016 both hosted at intercontinental hotel. We performed well and learners were able to achieve A and A* in most of their subjects.
